Robert Gens

Robert Gens

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington in 2016, working on machine learning for computer vision. I was supported by the Google PhD Fellowship in Deep Learning.

I received my S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009.

My goal is to create learning systems that can understand infinite visual data as stable concepts. I enjoy learning about neuroscience, graphics, and mathematics, as I believe they will inspire new algorithms that will thrive on tomorrow's computers.
